Washington DC Trip 1 - Move on to Washington DC Trip 2

In April 2017, w
e visited our nation's capital for 5 days and stayed near quaint Dupont Circle. In DC you don't need a car. The metro and cabs are cheap and easy. Our goal was to take in sights missed during our last trip in 2002. On this trip, we: 1) toured Mount Vernon and Arlington Cemetery; 2) walked The Mall at day and night; 3) visited the Post Office Museum; 4) visited the American History Museum; 5) had hot dogs at famous Ben's Chili Bowl (President Obama liked to eat there) and: 6) the highlight of our trip was a 2 hour Segway tour of The Mall. We had a fun time in DC!

1 & 2. We started our trip with a tour of George Washington's home, Mount Vernon.

1 & 2. Mount Vernon is on a beautiful piece of land overlooking the Potomac River.

1. George Washington's carriage.    2. We also toured Arlington Cemetery.
