Southern California Trip 1 - Move on to California Trip 2

March 2013 found us off to Southern California for nine fun days. In Los Angeles, we at ate breakfast twice at Mel's Diner, featured in the '70s/'80s sitcom, Alice, and also in the movie American Graffiti. We did the Hollywood Walk of Fame, a tour of movie star homes and the Warner Brothers Studio tour. In Palm Desert, we drove through beautiful Joshua Tree National Park and visited The Living Desert zoo and botanical gardens. In San Diego, we stayed at the historic Hotel del Coronado on the beach, spent a day at Balboa Park/San Diego Zoo. On the way back to L.A., we stopped by beautiful Torrey Pines State Park with bluffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean. During our trip, we had dinner twice with old friends Glen & Amelia Hitchens and Sue's cousin, Liz Petras. Overall, another great vacation!
