Last October (2023), we
spent 17 days
driving beautiful Italy. It was an unforgettable dream vacation.
Over the next 24 pages, we will share our favorite photos with you.
Here is a summation of our trip:

Day 1-3 - Three
nights in Rome; tours of the Vatican and Coliseum; a walk among the
ruins of ancient Rome.
Day 4-6 - Flashback visit to Avellino; three nights
in Sorrento; hydrofoil to the Isle of Capri and Positano.
Day 7 - A walk at the ruins of ancient Pompeii; overnight at the
medieval hill town
of Orvieto, in Umbria.
Day 8-10 - A drive through beautiful Tuscany landscapes;
three nights in Florence; Michelangelo's David.
Day 11-12 - Two nights in Venice; water bus to Murano; a gondola ride,
a walk around the city of canals.
Day 13-14 - A drive around beautiful Lake Garda; two
nights in Verona (Shakespeare's city of love).
Day 15 - A stop at the Leaning Tower of Pisa;
Tuscany wine region; overnight in medieval San
Gimignano.
Day 16 - A final night in Rome, for a much needed rest before our
long flight home.
Day 17 - Goodbye Italy, hello USA. |
